What this site is

Every day, new HTML5 games appear on itch.io. Most are experiments, jam entries, and demos that never get a proper guide. Playdrop watches that stream, checks which games actually run in a browser frame, and writes a short, factual guide for each one.

We do not host game files. The game frame loads from itch.io's servers, and the developer keeps every right to their work. Each page links back to the original game page.

How games are selected

• The game must be listed as HTML5 on itch.io and expose a playable browser frame.
• It must have a real description and a cover image. Asset packs, adult games, and non-English pages are excluded.
• We prefer games with clear mechanics and enough developer information to write an honest guide.
• Guides are generated from the developer's own description, then checked. If a detail is not stated, we say so instead of inventing it.

Corrections and removals

Developers: if a game page is wrong, if you want your game removed, or if you would rather not be embedded, open an issue at github.com/CharlieLZ/playdrop-issues/issues. We remove pages on request.
