Is a lie that does good better than a truth that does harm?

Anyway, you don't ask yourself that kind of question. You stamp.

Then one day, something is different. A sticky note on your desk. Someone needs your help, and they'll be waiting for you on the 5th floor.

Trust the System is a narrative incremental game where mindless stamping becomes your way out. Earn points at your desk, spend them to buy time in the building's forbidden corridors, and find out what your job is really about.

Standard runtime: 40min

STAMP & UPGRADE YOUR TOOLS

Every stamp earns you points. Upgrade your tools, get promoted, stamp faster. The System appreciates your dedication.

BUY TIME TO EXPLORE THE CORRIDORS

Your points buy you steps. Spend them wisely: the corridors are dark and the floors are maze-like. Rumor has it someone up there sells flashlights and compasses. Maybe you'll cross paths.

UNVEIL THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR JOB...

Meet your fellow lifetime employees from HR, IT, and so on. They don't talk much, but they say a lot. Some will even help you (and others won't...). Floor after floor, piece together what the System really is.

AUTOMATE THE STAMPING

Unlock an old-school terminal that stamps for you. Find chips and get IT's help to upgrade it. Oddly satisfying.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • TWO GAMES IN ONE: a satisfying incremental loop at your desk, and a tense exploration of the floors above.
  • A MYSTERY WAITING FOR YOU: a cold, bureaucratic world where questions are not encouraged.
  • 100% HAND-DRAWN PIXEL ART: no generative AI, every pixel is crafted by hand (mine).
  • ATMOSPHERIC SOUND DESIGN: built for total oppressive immersion.
  • FOR FANS OF: A Dark Room, Papers, Please and workplace mysteries like Severance and The Stanley Parable.
