The short version

What is Peggy's Post?

Peggy's Post is a lighthouse-based post office simulation where the player sorts mail, assigns postage, and loads parcels onto delivery vehicles. Earnings go toward upgrades, stamp packs, ships, and paying off a loan before the lender forecloses.

Peggy's Post is a simulation game from digitarium, currently in development for HTML5, Windows, and macOS. The player owns a lighthouse-based post office and must sort mail, assign postage, and load parcels onto the correct delivery vehicle. Earnings are managed to upgrade tools, purchase stamp packs, charter new ships, and pay off a loan in time; foreclosure is the stated risk. The game was originally made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 53 by a two-person team. 7-Day mode is recommended because it gradually introduces mechanics; Endless mode starts with all mechanics available from day 1.

About this game

Read the full developer description

As the new owner of a lighthouse-based post office, it's your role to sort mail, assign postage, and load parcels onto the correct delivery vehicle for shipping. Manage your earnings to upgrade your tools, purchase stamp packs, charter new ships, and above all else, pay off your loan in time -- or the lender *will* foreclose on your lighthouse.

We recommend starting with the 7-Day mode, as it gradually introduces the mechanics. There is no explicit tutorial at the moment, so we encourage you to click around, read the notes, take your time... there's lots of hidden things to discover :) Endless mode has no  [some] additional content¹, however it starts with all mechanics available from day 1 -- for the sorting mail enthusiasts!

¹ the usage of "no" in this particular case is a poor example of the correct usage of "no", as endless mode does in fact have additional content in the form of a single rule/tool combo, the stamp collections book, and several upgrades boasting costs that surpass the buying-power of a postmaster with less than 7-days earnings, but nowhere near enough content to justify a mode that is endless. So here we are, over-explaining a wildly unimportant facet of a chronically under-explained almost-game-demo.

² whether the item in question performs a "rotate" or "use" is entirely dependent on the specific item and results may vary.
