The Margot Collapse
What is The Margot Collapse?
The Margot Collapse is an incremental game that begins as a workplace lab simulator and develops into an unsettling mystery. Players inspect and study microbe samples, log results, buy lab equipment, and read inbox messages about Project M.
The Margot Collapse is an in-development incremental simulation from Funday Games. The player works at TOPTECH on Project M, studying microbe samples at a workstation with a Bioscope, microbes, and a chair. Results are logged and sent through a pneumatic tube system; good work unlocks a research budget for equipment such as a DataMate or an Agitation Kit. Faster results lead to a performance review. The game mixes lab management, optimization, and a surreal short story. Company memos, HR notices, and coworker messages may disagree, and cubicle clues hint at what Project M really is.

You've been assigned to Project M. Your workstation includes one Atomisure Portable Bioscope, one container of microbes, and one chair (non-adjustable). Your responsibilities are simple: study the samples, log your results, and send them off in the pneumatic tube system.
Good work unlocks a research budget. Buy equipment like a DataMate or an Agitation Kit for the spores. Better equipment means faster results, and faster results mean a performance review your manager will be very pleased with.
You may leave your cubicle during emergencies only.
Some employees have reported that samples move when no one is looking. These reports are not accurate. Some employees have also reported messages from a colleague named Philip. Philip does not work on this floor.
THE MARGOT COLLAPSE is an incremental game that starts as a lab-management sim and doesn't stay one. Your numbers will go up. Your office will change. Eventually the upgrades stop being for your equipment.
Cultivate and study microbes in a satisfying chain-reaction incremental gameplay loop. Improve your research efficiency and watch your budget grow. Read your inbox carefully, because company memos, HR notices, and coworker messages don't always agree. Search your cubicle for clues about what Project M really is.
